Ebouri is located some 11 kilometers northwest of Etame Field. The discovery well Ebouri No. 1 was drilled in January 2004 and penetrated 15 meters of productive sandstone section in the Gamba. A sidetrack well encountered the same amount of pay and thus confirmed a sizeable oil accumulation.
In June 2006, the Gabon DGH approved the Exploitation Permit for the Ebouri Field. Meanwhile, pre-development works have been initiated while the Operator awaits the approval of the POD.
The Ebouri Field development will be produced from a platform which in turn will be tied back to the FPSO via a 10 kilometer pipeline.
