The Avouma Field was discovered in July 2004 with the drilling of EAVOM 1 well which flowed at stabilized rate of 6,600 BOPD of 37 deg. API crude from the Gamba Sandstones. It is located approximately 10.5 miles south of Etame Field.
The field will be produced with two horizontal wells from a platform. Oil produced will be conveyed to the existing FPSO over the Etame Field through a 17 kilometers pipeline.
The development is in its final stage and commercial production is expected to commence in January 2007.
